The Pulaski County Sheriff's Dept is investigating the recovery of
skeletal remains found in a remote area of Eastern Pulaski County
on Monday, April 19th. The skeletal remains were in a wooded
area off the East Adkins Arthur Road near the Rockcastle County
River.
A landowner was reportedly walking through the area and made
the discovery and directed investigators directed to the remains
at the base of a small cliff. Pulaski County's Coroner responded
to the scene and collected the remains. They've been sent to the
Kentucky Medical Examiners Office for analysis to determine the
possible cause and manner of death as well as determine the sex
and approximate age of the victim.
Investigators are looking into the possibility that these remains
may be those of a missing eastern Pulaski County man. In
April of 2003 - 54 year old Leroy Price walked away from his
home on Price Valley Road and was never seen or heard from
again. The area of this recovery is approximately three to four
miles from his residence. Although the remains may be those
of Price - a positive identification will not be made til after the
remains are examined by the Medical Examiner's Office. The
investigation is continuing.
