High Speed Chase Through Several Counties Thursday
A pursuit Thursday, May 6th that covered several counties and
reached speeds in excess of 100 MPH ended in Green County
with the arrest of a 17-year-old juvenile. The juvenile, wanted
in Ohio on felony robbery and assault charges, rammed and
disabled a Lexington Police cruiser while the Lexington Division
of Police were actively investigating a disturbance involving the
juveniles sport utility vehicle.

The pursuit started in Lexington, continued through Richmond,
and Washington, Marion, and Taylor counties before State Police
used legal intervention to disable the SUV. The juvenile was
involved in three vehicle collisions with law enforcement and was
transported to Jane Todd Crawford Hospital by Green County
EMS for treatment of injuries. He was charged with numerous
counts. The investigation is continuing and more arrests are
expected.
