Richard William “Dick” Bell
Richard William “Dick” Bell, age 86, widower of Frances Lee Bell, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Thomson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore, KY.

He is survived by:
2 daughters, Tammy Wray and Diana Walker
1 son, Paul Walker
9 grandchildren, Brianna Belle Wray, Samantha Bell, William Bell, Andrew Dolen, Matthew Dolen, Laura Hail, Misty Thornhill, Matthew Loveless, and Chris Loveless
4 great grandchildren, Kaleigh Hail, Stephen Loveless, Kristen Loveless,
and Emily Loveless

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 30, 2010 from 5 – 9 pm and Saturday, July 31 from 7 – 10:30 am in the chapel of the funeral home and then Saturday from 11 am – 1 pm at New Charity church. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 1 pm at the New Charity Church with Bro. Koger Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to: New Charity Church or Disabled American Veterans

Full military honors will be performed by our local DAV.

James H. Boggs, age 83, husband of Pauline Boggs, passed away Monday, July 26, 2010 at the Wayne County Hospital.

He is survived by:

4 sons, James David Boggs, Roy “Dan” Boggs, Chris Boggs, and Anthony “Tony” Boggs

2 daughters, Rachel Dale and Mary Marker

1 brother, George Boggs

4 sisters, Magdalane Mullins,

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 from 6 – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 11 am at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Ragan officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.

Hobart Milton Roberts, age 86, widower of Doris Roberts, former Monticello Mayor, passed away Monday, July 26, 2010 at the Wayne County Hospital.

He is survived by:

1 son, Howard Wallace Roberts

1 daughter, Wanda Darwin

1 sister, Mary Lou Crabtree

5 grandchildren

4 great grandchildren

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 29, 2010 from 4 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. The body of Mr. Roberts will lie in state at the First Baptist Church from 9 – 11 am. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 30, 2010 at 11 am at the First Baptist Church with Bro. Chad Fugitt officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.
