A local business suffered heavy structural damage in a fire Saturday evening.
Monticello Fire says they got the call at 6:37 PM at Foothills Country Meats, located at 4375 West HWY 90.
Susie Fire was also called to provide mutual aid to Monticello Fire, along with numerous other local first responder agencies. Firefighters were on the scene for several hours as they battled the blaze.
Significant damage to the structure was reported.
According to Monticello Fire, the State Fire Marshal has been called in to assist the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office in determining the cause of the blaze
