The Wayne County Tourism Board met for their regular monthly session Wednesday.
The Board voted to hire Roy Hunter, CPA of Lexington to do their audit, discussed a possible partnership with the Monticello Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, and voted to distribute the new Monticello Wayne County Tourism brochures at a variety of locations
Hunter was hired to do the required audit for $2600.00. As far as the partnership with the Chamber of Commerce, board members discussed the proposal presented by the Chamber last month that the Tourism Board pay $10,000 a year on the Chambers Directors salary with no action taken
The Board voted to use Ad Rack, a company that distributes Tourism brochures to targeted areas. The newly updated Monticello Wayne County Tourism brochures will go to 185 hotel and motels in the greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky area, Interstate 75 and in the Lexington Frankfort areas.
