Bond set for Wayne County man accused of murder

The man accused of murdering another Wayne County man appeared for arraignment this (Monday) morning in Wayne District Court. 60 year old Norman McGuire appeared before Judge Scarlett Latham.

In a preliminary hearing this afternoon, KSP Detective Keegan Bray testified in front of Judge Latham and enough evidence was found to send the case to the Wayne County Grand Jury. McGuire’s bond was set at $1 million dollars cash only.

McGuire is accused of killing 46 year old Berry Rose the third Sunday. Rose’s body was found in the driveway of a home on Cart Bell Ridge Road early Sunday morning. According to the arrest citation, Rose was last seen in McGuire’s truck prior to his death. The truck was located at 255 Circle Road where Spradlin was detained before being questioned at the Monticello Police Department and being charged with murder first degree.
