A tornado has caused major damage in Somerset and London. The main damage area in Somerset is the Parkers Mill Road, light 22 area. US 27 remains closed in that area at this time as emergency crews continue to work in that area
The Laurel County Fiscal Court reports that destroyed homes and buildings are still being searched by emergency responders. They say multiple serious injuries have also been reported.
South Kentucky RECC’s Somerset Headquarters sustained significant damage as a result of the devastating weather that passed through earlier. They will share updates as they gather more information.
