Melvin C. Barnes, age 88, widower of Jessie Barnes, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Laurel Creek Nursing in Manchester.
He is survived by: his son, Tony Daniels (Lynn); and daughter, Melva Bolin; sisters, Deborah Zimmerman (Richard) and Nancy Hatmaker; and 6 grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 27, 2026, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Parmleys Grove Cemetery.
