The Monticello City Council had a special session Wednesday evening.
The Council approved the second reading of a $3,145,538 budget for 2026-27
The Council also approved a Municipal Order adjusting the Comprehensive Pay Plan, specifically raising the ABC Administrator salary from $37,000 annually to $55,000 and raising the Assistant City Clerk pay from $13.50 per hour to $21.00 per hour. The new budget also included a 2% raise for all city employees.
