Jesse Earl Collins

Jesse Earl Collins of Albany, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, Kentucky, having attained the age of 76 years, 10 months, and 8 days. He was born on Monday, November 21, 1949, in Albany, Kentucky, the son of Frank “Ram” & Georgia Lee (Riddle) Collins. Jessie was a familiar face to many throughout Albany and Clinton County as the longtime owner of Collin’s Dairy Treats, affectionately nicknamed “Greasy Browns” by their loving customers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Jean (Charles) Collins, whom he wed on January 21, 1973; sister, Dorothy Tuggle, brother, Jack Collins, and infant brother, James Elmore Collins.

He is survived by his daughter, Heather (& Michael) Jones; siblings, Margie Conner, Linda Wilson, Cordell (& Teresa) Collins, Betty Thrasher, Janet Collins, and Joe (& Cora) Collins; grandchildren, Colton Jones, Collin (& Justice) Roberts; step-grandchildren, Macy Albertson; great-grandchildren, Renley Roberts, Jesslyn Roberts, Benson Roberts; step-great-grandchildren, Maddison Gibson; and many other family and friends.

The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM CST in the Memory Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Donald McGill officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 5, 2026, after 5:00 P.M., and again on Tuesday morning beginning at 6:00 AM until the funeral hour. Burial will be in the Memorial Hill Cemetery in Albany, Kentucky.
