Alice Ardena (Holloway) Lewis of Monticello, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the Mountain Ridge Nursing and Rehab in Monticello, Kentucky, having attained the age of 76 years, 11 months, and 12 days. She was born on Monday, October 05, 1949, in Wayne Co, Kentucky, the daughter of George Holloway and India Marie (Bell) Holloway
She was of the Baptist faith. Alice worked at Larands factory for several years. She enjoyed reading, walking, and loved photography. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family and the everyday moments they shared.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Vicki Holloway & niece Miranda Holloway.
She is survived by her daughter Lisa (Billy) Prince, of Monticello, Kentucky; siblings, Sandra Bertram, David Holloway, Sharon Lowe (Steve Stringer), Kim Acker, Lora Holloway all of Monticello, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jeremy Lewis, Cody Lewis, and Travis Patrick. And a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. e.s.t. in the Memory Chapel of News Monticello Funeral Home in Wayne County, Kentucky with Bro. Mike Smedley officiating. Burial will be in the Dobbs cemetery at Canada’s Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends after 11:00 a.m. Friday until the funeral hour.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests all contributions be made to the Alice Lewis Memorial fund, c/o New’s Monticello Funeral Home.
