On April 30th, 2025, Allen Farms brought an enriching experience to the students of Bell Elementary. The program kicked off with William Allen, the owner of Allen Farms, captivating the students by reading a book about strawberries and the art of farming.
Students participated in an array of strawberry-themed activities during their special times, each designed to be both educational and fun. Activities included:
- Strawberry Parachute Toss: Students worked together to keep strawberries afloat using a parachute.
- Basket Toss: Aiming for baskets, students honed their hand-eye coordination.
- Ring Toss: Rings were tossed onto strawberry-shaped targets.
- Pin the Tail on the Strawberry: A creative twist on the classic game, encouraging teamwork and laughter.
- Strawberry Toss: Giant strawberries were tossed between classmates, fostering cooperation and excitement.
Allen Farms, owned by William and Samantha Allen, has been a part of our community for over a decade, consistently offering fresh fruits and vegetables. Their involvement in local education is evident, with Samantha Allen also serving as a dedicated teacher in our district. The visit to Bell Elementary is just one of the many ways the Allens invest in the community, showing their commitment to nurturing both the land and the minds of future generations.
