Charlette Ann (Walls) Koger of Albany, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025, in Clinton County, Kentucky, having attained the age of 69 years, and 25 days. She was born on Tuesday, May 29, 1956, in Cinton County, Kentucky, the daughter of Eugene “Jack” Walls and Charlene (Littrell) Walls Sawyers. Charlette was a woman of strong Christian faith and deep commitment to her community. She retired after 30 years of dedicated service with the Clinton County Board of Education. In addition to her full-time work, she served on weekends with Clinton County EMS. Charlette continued her devotion to public service by serving as director of the Clinton County Industrial Development Authority for 15 and a half years. She was known for her love of Yorkies, her warm laughter, and the joy she found in sharing conversation with others. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Marshal & Willie Alma (Upchurch) Littrell.
She is survived by her step-father, James Lee Sawyers, husband, Larry Koger, whom she wed on Saturday, October 8, 1977, fur babies, Mercedes, Benz, sister-in-law, Patsy (& Glenn Ray) Smith, nephew, Garth Sawyers, nieces, Danielle Dicken, Erin Casada, Samantha Russell, life time friend, Rick Mercader, family & friends.
The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. C.S.T. at Stony Point Baptist Church in Albany, Kentucky, with Bro. Jim England officiating and David Warinner reading the eulogy. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 26, 2025, beginning at 5:00 p.m. C.S.T, and again on Friday morning beginning at 6:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon. Then visitation from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at Stony Point Baptist Church in Albany, Kentucky. Burial will be in the Beech Bottom Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky.
