Dewayne Jones

Dewayne Jones, of Albany, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026, at the Medical Center in Albany, having attained the age of 63 years, 4 months, and 11 days. He was born on Saturday, March 9, 1963, in Burkesville, Kentucky, the son of Tom R. & Evelyn (Beaty) Jones. Dewayne worked as a truck driver in his early years and later became “semi-retired”. He attended Albany Independent Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, fishing, working in his yard, and spending time playing with his beloved dog, Maisy. Those who knew Dewayne will always remember two of his favorite sayings: “For a small fee,” and, “You know what I’m saying.” In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Keith Garrett.

He is survived by his daughter, Emily Jones; “only” sister, Debra Garrett, brothers, Michael Stockton (& Robin Livingston), Charles (& Julie) Stockton; aunt, Judy Rice; nephew, Jason Stockton; nieces, Kimberly (& Nathan) Stockton, Keisha (& Chris) Claborn; great-nieces, Keitha Stockton, Keistan Stockton, Bristol Stockton, Klowi Stockton; great-nephew, Keith John “KJ” Claborn; special friends, David Guffey, Johnny Smith, Brad (& Diana) Robinson; and his little buddy, Braden Baugh.

The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. in the Memory Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Melvin Daniels officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday morning after 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour. Burial will follow in the Peolia Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky.
