Brian Dishman has been hired as Superintendent of Schools at a Special Called meeting of the Wayne County Board of Education Tuesday night.
With all Board members present, after interviewing three candidates, as recommended by the School Screening Committee, the Board came out in open session, following a motion and second to hire Dishman, voted 3 for, one against, and one not voting. Dishman, who is currently serving as Interim Superintendent will officially take over the office July 1, 2025. He was given a two year contract for $132,600 per year.
