Doris Elaine (Waters) Foster of Pulaski County, Kentucky, passed away on Monday March 23, 2026 at the Signature Health and Rehabilitation in Pine Knot, Kentucky, having attained the age of 70 years and 22 days. She was born February 29, 1956, the daughter of Roy Waters and Dorothy Lesteen (Harrison) Waters. Doris was of the Christian faith. She loved planting and working with her flowers, watching and feeding humming birds and spoiling her fur baby Peanut. She was proceeded in death by her parents, special aunt and uncle Bud and Loreen Abbott as they raised her after the passing of her mother, brothers, Russell Waters, Emory Abbott, and Daniel Abbott
She is survived by siblings Connie Foster, Nova and Larry Calhoun all of Somerset, Kentucky, Robin Marlene and Willis Rose, Rachel Keith all of Monticello, Kentucky, Jerry Abbott of Science Hill, Kentucky. Nieces and nephews, Richard Allen Foster, Bradley Zane Foster, Brian Calhoun, April and Shane Smith, and Desiree Calhoun. Great nieces and nephews, Isabella Rose, Adam James, Kadin Zane, Lucas Wayne, Wyatt Easton, Nykolas Cole, Noah, Brian, Mckinze, Marishka, Jasmine, Exavier, and Demetrius also several cousins and friends.
The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday March 28, 2026 at 12:00 noon EST in the Memory Chapel of New’s Monticello Funeral Home with Bradley Foster officiating. Burial is at Beech Grove Cemetery in Science Hill, Kentucky. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. EST until the funeral hour on Saturday March 28, 2026. In lieu of flowers, donations appreciated to the Doris Foster Memorial Fund, c/o New’s Monticello Funeral Home.
