Dorothy is survived by: her children, Karen Richardson (Larry), Keith Bertram (Sharon), David Bertram (Sharon); and stepchildren, Shannon Flagler (David) and Derek Hicks (Cheryl). She was Mima to five grandchildren; six step grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and six step great grandchildren. She is also survived by: two sisters, Retha Brumley and Wilma York; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 27, 2026, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 28, 2026, at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Gap Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
