Eleanor M. Taylor was born August 19, 1929, and departed this life Friday, September 25, 2026, at the age of 97 years. She was the daughter of (the late) Guy Hilton and Verna Alice (Hess) Burns.
She is survived by her daughter, Hope (husband, Sam) Bass; grandchildren, Clifton Guy (wife, Rebecca) Taylor, Jason Wayne (Fiancé, Samantha) Taylor, Jonathan (Claribel) Taylor, Christina (Tommy) Swader, Allison (Nathan) Young Swallow, Melissa (Mike) Abeyta, Laura (Jeremy) Link, Thomas (Victoria) Hill and Matthew (Cadie) Hill; numerous great-grandchildren, Zachary, Cheyanne, Emilee, Gracie, Alexander H., Clarisse, Amelia, Cody, Mary Ann, Quinntel, Alexander GD, Gabriel, Elizabeth, Zachariah, Jullian, Mia, Hunter, Camden, Brooke, Bramki, Connley, and Hazlee; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Clifton Taylor; sons, Steven Clifton Taylor, and Bradford Guy “Brad” Taylor; sister, Julia Eileen “Judy” Kerr; and brother, Craig Leon Burns.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, between 12 pm – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
