Flossie Geraldine Smith Craig

Flossie Geraldine (Simpson) Smith Craig of Albany, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the Pickett Care and Rehabilitation Center, in Byrdstown, Tennessee, having attained the age of 75 years, 8 months and 6 days. She was born in Cumberland County, Kentucky on Friday, June 2, 1950, the daughter of Willie & Beula (Wright) Simpson.  She was of the Christian faith and lived a life rooted in devotion and service to others. For many years, she worked as a factory worker for Sutton & Oshkosh, taking pride in her work. She also shared her love of music with her family as a member of a singing group known as “The Believers,” traveling to churches throughout South Central Kentucky and Upper Tennessee to sing and worship. Above all, she cherished her role as Nana to her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She was a wonderful cook who delighted in attending church dinners, where she became well known for her delicious meals and the care she poured into every meal. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John B. Smith; brothers, Jackie Simpson, Billy Ray Simpson, J.D. Simpson; and sister, Helen Sue McWhorter.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Craig, whom she wed on August 15, 2013; children, Susan (& Jeff) Flowers of Albany, Kentucky, Faron (& NhuTrang Nguyen) Smith of Orlando, Florida, Shane Smith of Albany, Kentucky; stepchildren, Stephen (& Emily) Craig,  Johnathan Craig; siblings, Becky King of Monticello, Kentucky, Patricia Phillips of Albany, Kentucky; grandchildren, Samantha Flowers, Elijah (& Eliza) Smith, LeAidan Smith; step-grandchildren, James Craig, Ava Craig, Jonah Craig, and Jackson Craig.

The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11:00 am C.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Shane Smith and Bro. Greg Wells officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 20, 2026, beginning at 5:00 pm C.S.T until 8:00 pm C.S.T, and again on Saturday morning beginning at 7:00 am C.S.T until the funeral hour.  Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, in Clinton County, Kentucky.
