Glenda Faye Bertram Kinnett departed this life on June 6, 2026. She leaves behind 3 sons: Darrell Kinnett, Gary Kinnett(Telisa) and John Kinnett (Heather), and 6 grandchildren: Ashley Kinnett-Dycus (Stacy), Courtney Kinnett, Tisha Jones (Joseph), Dr. Jordan Kinnett and John P. Kinnett, and 3 sisters: Ruth Ramsey (Edward), Brenda Smith (Smitty), and Nina Williams (Danny), and many loving great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Ewing Bertram and mother Nadene Guffey Bertram, her brother Shelby Owen Bertram (Bonetta), and her Grandchildren Taylor Kinnett and Madison Kinnett.

Glenda was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and a retired employee of Home Builders Do-It Center. She was also a volunteer for the Wayne County Museum and a member of the local Red Hat Society. She was a strong supporter of Mountain View Baptist Camp and loved to see kids enjoy their time on the mountain. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Expressions of sympathy may be given in the form of donations to Mountain View Baptist Camp, Taylor and Madison Fund (which is set up to send local kids to summer church camp).

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 11, 2026, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Friday, June 12, 2026, at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
