Jayden Wayne Barnes, 4 month and 22 days old infant son of Johnny and Kyra Barnes, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Wayne County Hospital. In addition to his parents, he is survived by: his sisters, Addilyn, Raylen, and Layla Barnes; maternal grandparents, Ross & Heather Parmley; paternal grandmother, Sherry Cooper; paternal grandfather, James Barnes (Tina); great-great grandparents, Danny & Glenda Lawless, Andrew Parmley, and Linda Smith; numerous cousins, family and friends who mourn his passing. Pallbearers for the service will be Blake Parmley, Bubba Barnes, Dillion Brummett, and Trent Lawless.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ross Parmley and Bro. Danny Lawless officiating. Burial will be in the Jayden Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to: Jayden Barnes Memorial Fund, c/o Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home.
