The Monticello City Council met for its regular monthly session Monday night.
The Council passed a resolution accepting landscaping responsibilities on the proposed roundabout to be constructed at the KY 90/92 intersection near the former Belden location. The state is proposing to build the roundabout at the location, The resolution passed by the Council is for landscaping purposes of the inner portion. This is a Kentucky Department of Highways project, the city only has the option to landscape the inner portion of the Roundabout.
The Council did not take action on a proposed update to the City’s
business license update. It is expected to be brought before the Council at a future meeting.
In the Alcohol Beverage Report, a total of $363,733 in alcohol sales was reported for the month of April with $17,457 in fees collected.
In the Industrial Development Authority report, it was noted the IDA has recently purchased the former Iron Mule Property on Noth Main Street for $475,000.
