Nathan Dale Stephenson was born July 14, 1983, and departed this life Friday, October 2, 2026, reaching the age of 43 years. He was the son of Austin Stephenson (Loretta) and Rhonda (Coomer) Hicks (Darrell).
In addition to his parents, he is survived by: his wife, Heather Stephenson; two children, Jaydon and Jacob Stephenson; one sister, Brooke Garner (Michael); and one brother, Zack Stephenson (Ashley).
He is also survived by: maternal grandmother, Helen Coomer; his uncle; Jason Stephenson (Betsy); his aunt, Karen Massengale; and his cousins, Travis Harris (Morgan), Johnny Stephenson (Latisha) and Lydia Rigney (David); along with many other family members and friends who mourn him.
He was preceded in death by: his paternal grandparents, Cecil and Marie Stephenson; and his maternal grandfather, Jackie Coomer.
Nathan’s laughter was contagious and his smile could light up any room. He enjoyed playing guitar and hanging out with family and friends He loved his family, especially his boys. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, between 10 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Parmley’s Grove Cemetery.
