She is survived by her children, John E. McAlpin III (Sabrina) of Elizabethtown Ky and Laura McAlpin, of Lexington Ky, her brother Kenneth W. Whittenburg of Louisville Ky, as well as her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 7, 2025, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
