Pulaski man charged with murder

Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones reports the arrest of a Eubank man, Ralph Letner, 61, on April 20, 2025 for Murder and Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon.

Deputies initially responded to the scene after Ralph Letner came to a neighbor’s residence and told them that he had killed his wife. Deputies responded to a nearby residence where Kimberly Letner, 50, Ralph Letner’s wife, was found unresponsive from an apparent gunshot wound. Ralph Letner was then taken into custody. Deputies and EMS attempted to revive Ms. Letner on the scene, but she was pronounced as deceased.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office’s Criminal Investigation Division was then contacted and responded to the scene.

As a result of further investigation by Detective Branson Patterson, Ralph Letner was later charged with Murder and Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon and lodged at the Pulaski County Detention Center. Letner’s bond is unknown at this time.

Det. Patterson is continuing the investigation. Det. Patterson was assisted at the scene by Sgt. Alex Wesley, Deputies Daniel Drury, Logan Crabtree, Evan Whitis, Dylan West, Jared Pierce, and Noah Wesley, as well as other members of the Criminal Investigation Division. Det. Patterson was also assisted by the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office and Somerset-Pulaski EMS.
