He is survived by: 3 sisters, Penny Burris (Anthony), Pamela Hatten (Joe), and Mary Jent (EJ); special nieces and nephews, William Chaplin (Tarah), Joshua Chaplin (Hailee Cole), Cody Burris (Kassandra Hodges), Zachary Burris (Taylor Davis), Kaylee Burris, Nova and Zephyr Chaplin; 20 nieces and nephews; 28 great nieces and nephews; and his dog, Ginger; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 9, 2025, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 10, 2025, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Perdew Cemetery.
