Ricky Lee “Rick” Savage

Ricky Lee “Rick” Savage, of Albany, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at the Medical Center of Albany in Clinton County, Kentucky, having attained the age of 64 years, 5 months, and 17 days. He was born on Thursday, November 24, 1960, in Clinton County, Kentucky, the son of Harlin M. & Hazel M. (Shelley) Savage. Rick was a man of faith and a member of the Methodist Church. He was the proud owner of Savage Construction, honorably served two terms as Magistrate for Clinton County’s 2nd District and worked for the Clinton County Board of Education. In his free time, Rick found joy in riding four-wheelers, building a pond & cabin where he relaxed and fished, and vacationing with his family in Pigeon Forge. He also loved spending weekends at yard sales and taking his family to see horses. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ralph Savage, Edmond Lee “Ed” Savage, sisters, Flonnie Ferrell, and Jewell Craig, mother-in-law, Betty Sells-Groce, father-in-law, Dalton “John Henry” Sells.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa (Sells) Savage, whom he wed on Sunday, January 13, 1981, sons, Jason Savage of Albany, Kentucky, Tyler Savage of Columbia, Kentucky, sisters, Evelyn Guffey of New Castel, Indiana, Wilma J. Trapp of Albany, Kentucky, Ruby (& Johnny) Norris, Carolyn Inman, Glenda Smithers, all of Albany, grandchildren, Ezra (& Baily) Savage, Ethan (& Gracie) Savage, Emily Savage, great-grandchildren, Alexanderia “Alli” Hope Savage, and Lailah Jane Savage.

The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. C.S.T. noon, in the Memory Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Wells officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 16, 2025, after 5:00 p.m. C.S.T. until 8:00 p.m., and again on Saturday morning at 7:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. Burial will be in the Craig Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky.
