Shirley Marie (Delk) Hickman, of Albany, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025, in Clinton County, Kentucky, having attained the age of 71 years, 9 months, and 22 days. She was born on Tuesday, September 1, 1953, in Albany, Kentucky, the daughter of Oliver “Bud” & Pauline (Duvall) Delk. Shirley was of the Christian faith and spent much of her working life in local factories, including OshKosh and Suttons. In the 1970s, she proudly owned and operated the S&K Drive-In in downtown Albany. She had a passion for flowers and took great pride in keeping her yard beautiful and spotless. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Delk, and sisters, Patsy Talbott, and Mary Lou Terrell.
She is survived by her son, Frankie Hickman of Albany Kentucky, siblings, Marvin Delk of Louisville, Kentucky, Eugene Delk of Shelbyville, Kentucky, Tony (&Virginia) Delk, Johnny Delk, Sue (& Bill) Pierce, all of Albany, Kentucky, Cathy (& Steve) Barrie of Sacramento, California, Fonzie Dicken of Albany, Kentucky, Shelia (& Don) Abbott of Byrdstown Tennessee, Deborah (& Frankie) Smith of Albany, Kentucky, Rebecca (& John) Harrod of Louisville, Kentucky, sister-in-law, Lisa Delk of Albany Kentucky, special friend, Roy Thacker, and many nieces, nephews, family & friends.
The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. C.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home, with Bro. Markus Williams officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, beginning at 7:00 p.m. C.S.T, and again on Thursday morning beginning at 6:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky.
