The Court passed a couple items on the agenda concerning the $750,000 CDBG Grant it will be receiving for the renovation of the Senior Citizen Center.
The Wayne County Fiscal Court met in Special Session Friday morning with all members and Judge Executive Scott Gehring presiding
Bruce Blevins was hired as Sheriff’s Deputy as School Resource Officer at Wayne County School.
The Magistrates tabled possible action on an addition to the Solid Waste Building. The addition would be used to cover cardboard collected at recycle bins. Also under consideration is fencing in an additional area to place the two Recycle bins in the city to the Solid Waste lot on Creekview Drive. The Court is considering moving the recycle bins to a monitored location because it is costing the County a couple thousand dollars a month to haul off non recyclable trash that is being dumped at the current locations, If the Fiscal Court approves this move the Recycling Bins would only be open during regular hours weekly
