In a continued effort to promote a safe and healthy environment for students, Wayne County Schools have partnered with the local government to combat drug use within the district. Wayne County Judge Scott Gerhing, along with the Fiscal Court, recently presented a check from Opioid Abatement funds to Wayne County Schools. This generous contribution has been allocated to the installation of vape detectors in all restrooms at the Middle and High Schools.
The installation of vape detectors is a proactive measure taken by the district to deter substance use and ensure the well-being of its students. These devices serve as a vigilant guard against vaping, providing an early warning system to school officials and helping to maintain a drug-free environment.
Through thoughtful and collaborative efforts, Wayne County Schools and the local government continue to prioritize the health, safety, and success of their students, ensuring that the learning environment remains conducive to growth and development.
