Wayne Library Board meets

Wayne County Public Library Board met in regular session Wednesday evening with
Chairman Sandra Riddle and all members, along with Director Logan Anderson present.

Director Logan Anderson recommended, and the board unanimously agreed, to award
their new website design and build to Red Pixel Studios, out of Owensboro. The costs
will be $6,250 for setup and $1,340 annually for maintenance. The initial setup consists
of content migration, stock photography, and calendar build. Anderson
said the library has a $6,000 grant from the Kentucky Department of Libraries and
Archives (KDLA) to use toward the new website.

Director Anderson told the board that Jason Thacker, the library contractor, expects to
have painters onsite this week to begin work on the exterior of the building, weather
permitting.

Anderson said the Library of Things is off to a good start, with 35 patrons visiting and
around 7 items checked out this far.

Director Anderson said the library is having new solid state hard drives installed in the
patron computers due to them being very slow, potentially extended their life by an
additional 3 to 4 years.

As of February 28th, the library had a total of $2,269,605 in the bank.

Next meeting will April 16th at 4 PM.
