The Monticello Utility Commission met Thursday for their regular monthly session.
Commissioners heard reports from various Departments, including the Water Treatment Plant, where 106 million gallons of water was sold in May to local users. The Commission sold 9.2 million gallons of water to the Bronston Water Association.
In the Financial report, the Commission had $693,448 in revenues for May 2026, and $689,923 in expenditures,
The Commission received a couple of Bids to build an addition on the Shop Building on Columbia Avenue. The Commission needs more room since the City Street Department has begun using the Building after its building behind the Police station fell into bad shape. No action was taken on the proposed addition, it was decided the Commission and the City would try to come to come up with a solution before any construction would take place.
