In addition to his wife, Lena, he is survived by: three children: Nancy (Allen Carpenter), Alonzo “Lonnie” Allen Jr. (Tonya), and Robert Leon (Michelle); five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, and extended family members and loved ones, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 3, 2026, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Monticello Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by our local DAV Chapter 105.
Immediately after the service, a repast for the family will be at the Monticello County Club.
