Preparation work, including the removal of pavement markings, continues, with full milling and paving operations expected to begin in the coming weeks.
The resurfacing project will take place on U.S. 27 from Turner Street/Traffic Signal #2 (mile point 17) to Grand Central/Traffic Signal #17 (mile point 14).
Work is scheduled nightly from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m., Sunday evenings through Friday mornings.
Motorists should expect lane closures and possible delays throughout the duration of the project. Drivers are encouraged to slow down, remain alert, and use extra caution while traveling through the work zone to help protect both workers and fellow motorists.
The start date and duration of work may be adjusted due to inclement weather or other unforeseen delays.
