He is survived by: three sons, Mark Rains (Karen), Greg Rains (Rhonda Angel), and David Rains; and one daughter, Susan McGinnis (Jerry); along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Gap Creek Cemetery.
